MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANAt CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />JUNE 17, 1986 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:50 p.m. in the Council Chambers, <br />22 Civic Center Plaza, by Vice Mayor P. Lee Johnson. Councilmembers <br />present were John Acosta, R. W. Luxembourger, Patricia A. McGuigan, Dan <br />Young and Vice Mayor Johnson. Also present were Deputy City Managers <br />Jan C. Perkins and Rex Swanson, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper and <br />Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. <br /> <br />Mayor Daniel E. Griset joined the meeting at 6:48 p.m. Councilmember <br />Wilson B. Hart was absent. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />INVOCATION - Councilmember Patricia McGuigan <br /> <br />The Council recessed to the Community Redevelopment Agency at 5:52 p.m. <br />and reconvened at 6:04 p.m., with all members present except Mayor <br />Griset and Councilmember Hart. <br /> <br />76.A. <br /> <br />JOINT PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT <br />AGREEMENT FOR THE A-12 SITE WITH URBAN VENTURES AND MCMAHAN'S <br />FURNITURE ASSOCIATES <br /> <br />The Vice Mayor opened the public hearing for the proposed sale of <br />property known as the A-12 Site by the Community Redevelopment Agency <br />of the City of Santa Aha to Urban Ventures, a California Corporation of <br />the site generally bounded by Third Street on the north, Birch Street <br />on the west, First Street on the south, and Broadway on the east. <br /> <br />Roger Kooi, Downtown Development Commission Director, presented the <br />staff report, a slide presentation demonstrating current site and area <br />condition, and staff recommendations. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council reported that all written communications on <br />the matter had previously been distributed to the Council. <br /> <br />There were no speakers in favor or opposition to the project. <br /> <br />Rob Selway, 2414 Bonnie Brae, addressed Council, expressing concern <br />that the project might overwhelm the Minter House, an adjacent historic <br />property. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 240 JUNE 17, 1986 <br /> <br /> <br />
