MISCELLANEOUS <br /> <br />60.A. RIVERVIEW GOLF COURSE <br /> <br />John H. Mill, 617 S. Starboard, addressed Council, expressing concern <br />regarding implementation of a City project for the Riverview Golf <br />Course prior to adoption of the Federal Santa Ana River Flood Control <br />Project. <br /> <br />Councilmember Young requested staff prepare a comprehensive financial <br />analysis relative to the proposed Riverview project which would <br />address number of inoperable days and projected financial loss to the <br />city. <br /> <br />Councilmember Luxembourger requested that staff investigate possible <br />use of the land for soccer fields. <br /> <br />MOTION: 1. <br /> <br />Authorize staff to prepare a specific development and <br />financing plan for the improvements and acquisition of the <br />leasehold interest, including the 3.4 acre site located <br />south of Memory Lane, adjacent to and west of the river <br />channel, known as Forrest Paul Park; <br /> <br />2e <br /> <br />Authorize staff to prepare a cooperation agreement between <br />the City and the Corps of Engineers for design and con- <br />struction of the necessary 'drop structures" to be located <br />in the riverbed within the boundaries of River View Golf <br />Course; and <br /> <br />Authorize staff to prepare a Request for Proposals <br />for architectural services for the design of a <br />quality, semi-private golf course. <br /> <br />MOTION: Luxembourger SECOND: Young <br /> <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Griset, Johnson, LuxemDourger, <br />McGuigan, Young <br />None <br />Hart FILE 620 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 255 JUNE 17, 1986 <br /> <br /> <br />
