MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />JULY 7, 1986 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 1:47 p.m. in Room 831, City Hall, <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, by Mayor Daniel E. Griset. <br />Councilmembers present were John Acosta, Wilson B. Hart, P. Lee <br />Johnson, Patricia A. McGuigan, Dan Young and Mayor Griset. Also <br />present were City Manager Robert C. Bobb, City Attorney Edward J. <br />Cooper and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. <br /> <br />Councilmember R. W. Luxembourger joined the meeting at 1:55 p.m. <br /> <br />INFORMAL DISCUSSION SESSION <br /> <br />Councilmembers informally discussed the following: <br /> <br />Bowers Musuem Blue Ribbon Planning Committee Report <br />Gang-Related Violence/Drive-by Shootings <br />Self-Insurance: Impact on City-owned property, <br /> Santiago Park-Religious Services <br />Threatened Lawsuit/Detox Center <br />Meeting Reports: <br /> June 18, 1986 - Pacific Electric Right-of-way <br /> June 23, 1986 - Santa Ana, Anaheim, Garden Grove - Harbor <br /> Boulevard Prostitution <br /> June 24, 1986 - Santa Ana and Tustin - Communications/ <br /> Cooperation <br />Compensation for Robert C. Bobb <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that two final items on the Informal Discussion <br />Agenda would be deferred to the next meeting (Civic Center/Downtown <br />Parking Strategy and Planning Commission requests relative to Bristol <br />Street Redevelopment Project Area and Moratorium on commercial <br />Development). <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATION STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />The City Manager recommended to Council that an immediate moratorium <br />be instituted relative to concerts at the Santa Ana Stadium to allow <br />staff time to develop policies and procedures for renting the Stadium <br />for concert purposes. <br /> <br />The Council informally agreed to defer action on the request to the <br />end of the evening session. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />260 <br /> <br />JULY 7, 1986 <br /> <br /> <br />
