Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with the YMCA of Orange <br />County to provide educational and outreach materials to the Active <br />Living neighborhood districts. <br /> <br />2. Approve an appropriation adjustment accepting YMCA of Orange County <br />funds in the amount of $18,000 in the Recreation Special Fees and <br />Donations revenue account (account no. 22-01-5798) and appropriate same <br />to the Recreation Special Fees and Donations expenditure account <br />(account no. 22-231-6391). <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency entered into a <br />partnership with the YMCA of Orange County and submitted a grant proposal <br />to the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation in August 2005. A grant for $47,500 <br />was awarded to the YMCA of Orange County of which $18,000 has been <br />allocated for the City of Santa Ana Parks, Recreation and Community <br />Services Agency's Santa Ana Active Living United Districts (SALUD) <br />Initiative. Funds will be used to produce educational and outreach <br />materials in both English and Spanish to be distributed to the Active <br />Living neighborhood districts. <br /> <br />25J-1 <br />
