<br />Lease Agreement with Omnipoint Communications Inc. <br />for Cellular Antennas at <br />Jerome and Madison Parks <br />December 5, 2005 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />proposed change from flagpole antennas to monopalms was presented and <br />approved by the Board of Recreation and Parks on November 16, 2005. <br /> <br />T-Mobile will install one 65-foot high stealth monopalm at each location to <br />accommodate the new service and a second monopalm along with an equipment <br />space to accommodate collocation for a future carrier. Improvements to be <br />provided by T-Mobile include permanent concrete bleachers for one ball <br />diamond at Jerome Park. At Madison Park, staff has negotiated an additional <br />storage room for the little league and a concession room for community use. <br /> <br />T-Mobile agreed to pay the City $28,800 per year at each site, with an <br />annual increase of three percent each year, to be used specifically for <br />deferred maintenance improvements at Jerome and Madison Parks. The T-Mobile <br />lease agreements are for a period of 10 years, with three five-year options <br />for extension. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the <br />recommended action is exempted from further review.
