<br />RECEIVED <br /> <br />Ruby Gonzales Woo <br />2234 North Pacific Avenue <br />Santa Ana, CA 92706 <br /> <br />NOli 1 4 2005 <br /> <br />SANTA ANA PLANNING DEPT <br /> <br />November 8, 2005 <br /> <br />Mayor Miguel Pulido <br />Conncilman Brett Franklin <br />Councilman Jose Solorio <br />Councilwoman Lisa Bist <br />Councilwoman Claudia Alvarez <br />Councilwoman Alberta Christy <br />Councilman Mike Garcia <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Drive <br />Santa Ana, CA 9270 I <br /> <br />Re: Amendment Application No. 2005-08 <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and members of the City Council: <br /> <br />After over 26 years of struggling to maintain the integrity of the Artesia Pilar <br />neighborhood and protect it from commercial intrusion into the our neighborhood, we wholly <br />support the property owners and the proposed plan to amend the zoning district from Community <br />Commercial (C-l) to Single-Family Residence (R-l) to be consistent with the Low Density <br />Residential General Plan designation at 312 North Forest Ave" 312 North Hesperian St, 1402, <br />1410,1418,1422,1602,1604,1606,1614,1618,1626, 1630, 1702, 1710, 1714, 1720, 1725, and <br />1731 West Santa Ana Blvd. <br />It should be noted that the Artesia Pilar Neighborhood Association and residents have <br />supported a similar anienclment (2004-03) and the Council approved the amendment in order to <br />preserve the residential character and neighborhood integrity, <br />The Artesia Pilar Neighborhood Association supports the continuation of the City <br />Council's policy to improve the quality of our older neighborhoods by protecting the integrity of <br />our neighborhoods and reversing decline. This application will amend the zoning district for <br />those neighborhood properties to Single-Family Residence and further the preservation of our <br />neighborhood and is consistent with the General Plan.
