<br />COUNCIL RECONVENED AT 8:18 P.M. WITH SAME MEMBERS PRESENT <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />90A PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Eusebio Rios and Roy Alvarado addressed the Council relative to <br />problems in the Santa Anita neighborhood; they noted that many issues <br />outlined in a letter a year ago have been unresolved. <br /> <br />Lisann A. Martinez raised concerns relative to housing <br /> <br />90.B. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Garcia <br />. Noted that the Santa Ana River Task Force is meeting and toured the <br />River last Saturday; he noted that the Task Force will produce a <br />planning document <br />. Encouraged registered voters to vote in the November 8, 2005 <br />election <br />. Wished all veterans a happy Veterans' Day <br />. Announced that "Toys for Tots" will be held at Main Place on Saturday, <br />December 3, 2005 <br />. Asked staff to work with the Santa Anita neighborhood to address their <br />needs <br /> <br />Council member Solorio <br />. Encouraged residents to vote on November 8th and reminded them to <br />verify their polling locations as many precincts have been consolidated <br />for this election <br />. Noted that there was a meeting with the Santa Ana School District <br />relative to the construction at Valley High and the District's future plans <br />for Godinez High at Centennial Park <br />. Noted that the City has completed many items contained in the letter <br />from the Santa Anita neighborhood <br /> <br />Councilmember Christv <br />. Asked Chief Walters to assist in notifying seniors that are often <br />targeted by fraudulent groups, particularly during the holiday season <br />. Announced that the Manufactured Housing Educational Trust, which <br />represents the owners of mobile home parks, has pledged $1,000 to <br />the City's "Adopt a Park" program <br />. Noted that Captain Dave Thomas of the Santa Ana Fire Department <br />was highlighted in the latest OC Metro as one of Orange County's 25 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />398 <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 7, 2005 <br />
