<br />ARTICLE VI <br /> <br />6.0 FIRE MANAGEMENT EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE PROGRAM <br /> <br />6.1 Effective July 1, 2005, members of the Association will be <br />paid an Educational Incentive allowance in the amounts and <br />in accordance with the criteria set forth below. Employees <br />wishing to participate in any of the programs designated <br />herein shall submit a request to the Deputy Fire Chief, who <br />will then make a recommendation to the Fire Chief for <br />approval. In no event shall the application of this <br />Educational Incentive program result in an employee being <br />eligible to earn more than approximately 7.5% above his or <br />her then current base monthly salary step. For purposes of <br />this Article, an employee must produce transcripts or other <br />approved form of proof of participation in order to qualify <br />for any of the below-referenced incentives. <br /> <br />A. National Fire Academy Executive Officer Program. Any <br />employee covered by this Agreement who successfully <br />completes the National Fire Academy Educative Officer <br />program shall be paid at a rate set approximately 7.5% <br />above his or her then current base monthly salary step. <br /> <br />B. California State Fire Training Fire Marshal Program. <br />Any employee covered by this Agreement who successfully <br />completes the California State Fire Training Fire <br />Marshal program shall be paid at a rate set <br />approximately 5% above his or her then current base <br />monthly salary step. <br /> <br />C. California State Fire Training Fire Officer Program. <br />Any employee covered by this Agreement who successfully <br />completes the California State Fire Training Fire <br />Officer program shall be paid at a rate set <br />approximately 5% above his or her then current base <br />monthly salary step. <br /> <br />D. California State Fire Training Chief Officer Program. <br />Any employee covered by this Agreement who successfully <br />completes the California State Fire Training Chief <br />Officer Program shall be paid at a rate set <br />approximately 2.5% above his or her then current base <br />monthly salary step. <br /> <br />21 <br />
