<br />ARTICLE IV <br /> <br />4.0 SALARIES <br /> <br />4.1 Basic Compensation Plan. There is hereby established a <br />basic compensation plan for all members of the Santa Ana <br />Fire Management Association who are now employed or will in <br />the future be employed in any of the designated <br />classifications of employment listed in this Agreement and <br />its attachments. <br /> <br />This plan includes two groups of classification titles, Fire <br />Management Group A (the sworn CalPERS "Safety" class of <br />Deputy Fire Chief and the non- sworn CalPERS "Miscellaneous" <br />class of Fire Marshal*) and Fire Management Group B (the <br />sworn CalPERS "Safety" class of Fire Battalion Chief and the <br />non-sworn CalPERS "Miscellaneous" class of Fire <br />Communications Manager) . <br /> <br />* The current incumbent is designated as "safety" for <br />retirement purposes. <br /> <br />4.2 Schedules of Salaries. <br /> <br />A. Two separate schedules of salary rate ranges, one for <br />classes of employment designated as represented Fire <br />Management Group A (Deputy Fire Chief and Fire <br />Marshal), and one for classes of employment designated <br />as represented Fire Management Group B (Fire Battalion <br />Chief and Fire Communications Manager) are attached <br />hereto in matrix format and made a part hereof as <br />though set forth in full herein.
