<br />N-2004-133-01 <br /> <br />INSURANCE ON FILE <br />WORK MAY PROCEED <br />UNTIL INSURANCE EXPIRES <br />1-I-oLP <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL <br />DATE: 10-lq- 05 <br /> <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO <br />CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br /> <br />0: ?I) /;;1.) <br />nSCp.-v <br /> <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT is entered into <br />on September 20, 2005, by and between Leticia Quiroz ("Consultant") and the City of <br />Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation ofthe State of California ("City"). <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />A. The parties entered into Agreement N-2004-I33, dated November 4,2004 <br />(hereinafter "said Agreement") by which Consultant has provided teacher assistance <br />for jail inmate instruction in GED and computer classes. <br /> <br />B. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties wish to <br />extend said Agreement for an additional one-year term and increase compensation to <br />pay for services during the extended term. <br /> <br />WHEREFORE, in consideration ofthe covenants contained in said Agreement, and <br />subject to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this <br />First Amendment to Consultant Agreement, the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />I. Section 2.a., COMPENSATION, shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced with the <br />following: <br /> <br />"a. City agrees to pay, and Consultant agrees to accept as total payment for its <br />services, an hourly fee of $15.00. The total sum to be expended under this <br />Agreement shall not exceed $ I 0,000.00 per fiscal year, during the term ofthis <br />Agreement." <br /> <br />2. Section 3, TERM, shall be amended to extend the termination date from August 31, <br />2005 through August 31, 2006. <br /> <br />3.
