<br />Positron Public Safety Systems Corp. <br />222-1 <br />City of Santa Ana - Training Program Description <br /> <br />Page 2 of <br /> <br />March 17, 2004 <br /> <br />'- <br /> <br />Training Requirements <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />Positron training program for the City of Santa Ana is dimensioned to satisfy customer needs and <br />included all user and administration topics for the applications proposed as well as a special technical <br />training provided to City Staff. Positron offers a wide range of training programs and courses conducted <br />by experienced trainers, which participated in different stages of the implementation and become familiar <br />with procurement's requirement. Trainers ensure through a complete set of manuals and resources a <br />solid instruction of participants on the specifics of the use and administration of the Integrated Public <br />Safety Information System. <br /> <br />Positron training sessions are supplemented by hands-on exercises and are carried out at customer <br />facilities to ensure a profound knowledge of the system by final users. It is recommended that all-training <br />participants have a basic knowledge of computer standard applications and operative systems in order to <br />facilitate the understanding of course material. <br /> <br />This category of services includes: <br /> <br />. Development of training sessions in the use of Pos~ron products and systems configuration. <br />. Preparation of technical materials. <br />. Preparation of documentation. <br /> <br />Positron will provide in the pricing section the cost of its train the user program. <br /> <br />\,.... <br /> <br />Operational Training <br /> <br />Positron will developed an extensive training program to cover all aspects of the system's operation and <br />management. Each section has been addressed in the following paragraphs to provide full course <br />recommendations and requirements. <br /> <br />Every Positron course described below is complete, including a student notebook to carry the student <br />through the course, and provide a good tool for reviewing material at a later date. <br /> <br />Positron offers training courses on site. If a course is to be held on site, a suitable facility provided by the <br />City must be available with all required equipment. <br /> <br />All Positron Courses also include a Student Certification as outlined following: <br /> <br />. Students must score at least 70% to be certified in the install and maintenance of Positron's <br />equipment. <br /> <br />. Students must pass Positron's 2 exams with at least 70%. This accounts for 60% of total score. <br /> <br />. 20 % of total score accounts for attendance and participation. <br /> <br />. 20% of remaining score accounts for hands on troubleshooting lab. <br /> <br />.
