NO. 05-135) <br /> <br />APPROVED <br />o As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 1 st Reading <br />o Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For ____ <br /> <br />OJJa- <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to American LaFrance of Los Angeles for the <br />miscellaneous repair of fire apparatus for a three-year period in the <br />annual amount not to exceed $60,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Fleet Maintenance Division of the Finance and Management Services <br />Agency is responsible for basic maintenance of all City-owned vehicles, <br />including fire apparatus. Larger repairs, or those requiring <br />specialized tools on fire apparatus are contracted out to the <br />manufacturer, American LaFrance. Their Southern California repair <br />facility is staffed by certified emergency vehicle technicians.
