The League monitors state legislative issues and <br />sponsors training seminars and conferences to educate council members and <br />staff on legislative and policy matters of interest. The League's <br />efforts to strengthen the position of local governments resulted in the <br />successful sponsorship of Proposition 1A which secured constitutional <br />protection of local revenue sources.
