requesting additional personnel, and those positions would be assigned to <br />the Business License unit at a cost of approximately $100,000.00, and the <br />three new positions would be able to generate an additional $1,000,000.00 <br />in annual gross revenues for the City's General Fund. Council expressed <br />its interest in the feasibility of a city-wide integrated computer system <br />which Mr. Coloma had indicated was part of the Five Year Plan for the <br />Computer Center. <br /> <br />At 4:13 p.m., Council recessed, and reconvened at 4:31 p.m., with all <br />Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />Recreation and Community Services <br /> <br />Allen Doby, Executive Director of Recreation and Community Services, <br />presented a video tape highlighting the agency's activities of the last <br />fiscal year. He reviewed his agency's planned capital improvements for <br />the upcoming fiscal year such as an expanded Cable Television Studio, and <br />the construction of the Southwest Senior Center. Council expressed <br />interest in the adequacy of existing park space, and requested information <br />on the City's available park space as compared to other Orange County <br />cities. Council also expressed interest in youth center projects and <br />recreational programs for handicapped individuals. Council requested an <br />outline of the Five Year Capital Projects planned for the agency. Mr. <br />Doby presented an artist's rendering of new uniforms proposed for the <br />City's Park Rangers. <br /> <br />Since insufficient time remained to complete the remainder of the Agency's <br />presentation, the balance was scheduled for the Council meeting of June 1, <br />1987. <br /> <br />Consent Calendar Review <br /> <br />Councilmembers discussed their concerns with respect to Consent Calendar <br />Items. <br /> <br />At 6:20 p.m., the Council recessed to Closed Session in Room 831. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />The Assistant Clerk of the Council announced the Council was recessing to <br />Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6 to meet with <br />its designated representatives regarding labor relations matters. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 132 MAY 18, 1987 <br /> <br /> <br />
