REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL <br />ON-CALL CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES <br />GENERAL <br />The City is soliciting proposals from professional architectural firms to provide <br />architectural design services to prepare contract documents (plans, <br />specifications and "Opinions of Probable Cost") and to provide limited field <br />observation and construction support on an as needed basis. The total amount <br />of each contract shall not exceed $200,000. A detailed scope of work will be <br />outlined when specific project is assigned to a consultant. <br />Upon receiving this Request for Proposal (RFP), consultant shall notify the City <br />regarding its intent to respond to the RFP. <br />From the proposals received, the City will enter into an agreement with the <br />selected firms. <br />The work, in general, consists of general architectural design projects of City <br />owned facilities citywide. The projects may include new construction or <br />retrofitting of existing structures, landscaping and irrigation systems; and other <br />related projects as required. In addition, City may need mechanical, electrical, <br />structural, or geotechnical services for smaller projects. <br />The consultant must be able to assist the City through this contract to provide the <br />services needed. The consultant shall utilize in-house staff and/or sub - <br />consultants satisfactorily to the City to complete the assignments. For <br />specialized work for which the prime consultant will require a sub - <br />consultant, the prime consultant shall serve as an administrative liaison <br />between the City and the sub -consultant. The prime consultant mark-up for <br />sub -consultants shall not exceed 10%. <br />The proposal shall be limited to fifteen (15) pages, excluding any appendices <br />material. A cover letter shall summarize key factors and guarantee that key <br />personnel shall be committed to perform the required tasks throughout the <br />duration of the contract. A fee schedule described in the section "Supplied to <br />Offeror" is to be included. <br />PROPOSED SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />In general, the Consultants shall perform architectural design, civil engineering, <br />and landscaping services resulting in contract documents (plans, specifications <br />and cost estimates) for various projects on an as -needed basis. The <br />Consultants shall also provide all field survey work required to complete the <br />designs. <br />The Consultant's services shall include, but not be limited to, the following: <br />2 <br />
