Thomas Ferrier, Jr., 521 S. Birch Street, inquired as to the timing of the <br />redistricting of the City's wards, and requested an elaboration of the <br />process whereby the public could place an item on the City Council agenda. <br /> <br />Daniel Petz, 1502 N. English, expressed his concerns to the Council with <br />respect to traffic and parking impacts caused by a proposed apartment <br />project at 17th and King Streets. <br /> <br />Kevin M. Gleason, 2021W. 15th Street, reinforced the concerns expressed <br />by Mr. Petz. <br /> <br />John Raya, 4618 W. Hollyline, addressed the Council and expressed his <br />views on the importance of the freedom of individual expression in a <br />public forum. <br /> <br />90.C. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Pulido asked the City Attorney to clarify for the viewing <br />audience potential legal impacts of the local jail initiative, to which <br />the Attorney responded. <br /> <br />Councilmember Griset lauded the Council on its efforts with respect to the <br />Street Tree Program. <br /> <br />Councilmember May clarified how much actual "in-office" time <br />Councilmembers have available in their part-time capacity, and noted some <br />of the constraints they face in the performance of their duties. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta requested that the Clerk of the Council office <br />provide the Council with the schedule of activities for implementing the <br />redistricting required by the Charter for the November 1988 Election. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor McGuigan reminded the audience of the Tet Festival Days <br />scheduled for February 13-14, 1988, and of the upcoming Black History <br />Parade. <br /> <br />ADJOURNED - 10:02 P.M. <br /> <br />W~ll iam'D.
