FOR <br />ADULT CROSSING GUARD PROGRAM <br /> <br />o As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 1" Reading <br />o Ordinance on 2"' Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />aJJ;a-~ <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the <br />Clerk of the Council to renew the agreement with All City Management <br />Services, Inc. for the Adult Crossing Guard Program for an additional one- <br />year term, in an additional amount not to exceed $851,855. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />On January 18, 2005, Council approved a one-year agreement with All City <br />Management Services, Inc. (ACMS), to staff the Adult Crossing Guard Program <br />per the requirements specified in a Request for Proposal. The Adult <br />Crossing Guard Program ensures safe pedestrian movement of children around <br />elementary schools wi thin Santa Ana. The Police Department's evaluation <br />over the past year has determined that ACMS has met all the requirements of <br />the agreement. Staff recommends a one-year renewal of this agreement as <br />the consultant has performed satisfactorily during the previous agreement <br />period. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Funds for the first four months are available in the Police Department, <br />Traffic Division Other Contractual Services account (account no, 011-333- <br />6291).
