Authorize the acceptance of a donation in the amount of $1,000 from the <br />Target Stores, to be used by the Police Department Graffiti Task Force <br />Unit. <br /> <br />2. Approve an appropriation adjustment recognizing the donation in the <br />amount of $1,000 into the Police Special Revenue Fund, Gifts and <br />Donations revenue account (account no. 024-01-5798) and appropriate <br />same into the Police Special Revenue Fund, Operating Materials and <br />Supplies expenditure account (account no. 024-331-6391). <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Police Department operates a Graffiti Task Force Unit comprised of <br />three detectives. The unit targets criminals and taggers committing <br />graffiti crime and affecting the quality of life for members of the <br />community. Target Stores, a prominent local business, desires to support <br />local law enforcement and impact the local community in a positive manner <br />by donating $1,000 to the Police Department. This donation will be used by <br />the Police Department in support of anti-graffiti efforts. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Approval of the appropriation adjustment will enhance the Police Special <br />Revenue Fund, Gifts and Donations revenue account (account no. 024-01-5798) <br />by $1,000 and appropriate same into the Police Special Revenue Fund, <br />Operating Materials and Supplies account (account no. 024-331-6391). <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />,~aul M.
