FISCAL YEAR 1988-89 BUDGET <br /> <br />Public hearing to consider the City's 1988-89 Fiscal Year budget and <br />related matters. <br /> <br />Legal notice published in the Register May 20, 1988. <br /> <br />The Vice Mayor opened the public hearing to consider the City's 1988-89 <br />Fiscal Year Budget at 9:19 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation of Staff report and staff co~nents by: Rod Coloma, Executive <br />Director of Finance and Management Services <br /> <br />Presentation of written communications by the Assistant Clerk of the <br />Council: None <br /> <br />g:26 P.M. - The Mayor rejoined the meeting. <br /> <br />The following persons expressed concern relative to the reduction of <br />services at the McFadden Branch Library: <br /> <br />Kathyrn Badon, 1645 W. Wisteria Place <br />Leslie Rabine, 401E. Bishop <br />Carolyn Muro, ll07 S. Shelley <br />Vu Nguyen, 3922 W. Lenhardt Ave. <br />Rene Fernandez, 1613 So. Rene Drive <br />Francisco M. Cato, Jr. 2204 S. Artesia (presented play to the <br /> Council) <br />Don W. Haffner, 1002 W. Santa Clara <br />Mary Plummer, 2105 W. Borchard <br />Pastor Sam Craig, 2313 W. Highland <br />Rita Montes, 2922 S. Rene <br />Ms. Reynolds, Teacher at Cart Elementary School <br />James McGuigan, 5642 Keelson <br /> <br />John Raya, 4618 W. Hollyline, spoke with regard to public safety aspects <br />of the Budget. <br /> <br />Miles Leach, 2025 W. Tenth Street, expressed concern regarding <br />inflationary impacts of the Budget. <br /> <br />Hartley Mills, 617 S.
