90.A. PUBLIC CO~4ENTS <br /> <br />Tom Ferrier, 521 S. Birch Street, inquired as to the deadline for placing <br />measures on the ballot for the November 8, 1988 election and asked if the <br />measure concerning Ward Elections would be on the ballot. <br /> <br />The Mayor explained that the deadline for ballot measures was August l, <br />1988 since the Council did not have any more meetings before August 12, <br />1988, the deadline for submitting ballot measures to the Registrar of <br />Voters, and that the ward election measure would not be on the ballot. <br /> <br />H~rtley Mill, 617 S. Starboard, indicated he was confused that the motion <br />concerning ward elections had not passed since the vote was three to two. <br />The City Attorney explained four votes were required to approve actions .by <br />the City Council (Charter Section 410). <br /> <br />Sean Mill, 617 S. Starboard, expressed concern with the lack of student <br />representation on the Recreation and Parks Board, since only the Santa Ana <br />Unified School District Student Body was represented on the Board and not <br />the Garden Grove School District in which the students of the Western part <br />of the City are enrolled. <br /> <br />Carl Barnes, 814 £.
