PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Pat Green, 2222 W. Second Street, and Karol VanZant, 2201 W. First, <br />addressed Council expressing their appreciation to City staff for <br />assistance in ameliorating the problems caused by transients in their <br />neighborhood, and urged the City to continue its efforts. <br /> <br />Sean Mill, 617 S. Starboard, reported to Council that the City Attorney <br />had not responded to his complaint concerning the lack of representation <br />by Garden Grove youth on the Recreation & Parks Board, and a possible <br />conflict of interest by Dr. Anthony Dalessi of the Santa Aha Unified <br />School District. The City Attorney indicated that the Santa Aha Unified <br />School District provided for legal counsel to Dr. Dalessi, and not his <br />office. <br /> <br />Miles Leach, 2025 W. Tenth Street, Hartley Mill, 617 S. Starboard, and <br />Florence Leach, 2025 W. Tenth Street, expressed concern regarding the <br />funding which ~ad been provided to the Chamber of Commerce (Item 12.C.). <br /> <br />90.C. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta requested that the Council Public Safety Committee <br />review his suggestions of a Graffiti Ordinance, a Police Advisory <br />Commission, and al so a Youth Advisory Commission for the City. He also <br />expressed concern that the "All Future Jails in Santa Aha" initiative <br />petition would qualify for the June 1990 ballot, and encouraged the <br />Council to take action to oppose suc~ a ballot measure. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 262 AUGUST 15, lg88 <br /> <br /> <br />
