CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> <br />MOTION: Authorize settlement of the following cases: <br /> <br />Gatchell vs. City of Santa Aha (Worker's Compensation), stipulated <br />award in the amount of $19,005.00. <br /> <br />Mariani vs. City of Santa Aha (Worker's Compensation), stipulated <br />award in the amount of $14,770.00. <br /> <br />Alfaro vs. City of Santa Ana (Worker's Compensation), stipulated <br />award in the amount of $15,000.00 less $4,200.00 previously paid. <br /> <br />Stebbins vs. City of Santa Ana (Worker's Compensation), stipulated <br />award in the amount of $25,515.00. <br /> <br />McClatn vs. City of Santa Ana (Worker's Compensation), stipulated <br />award in the amount of $8,435.00. <br /> <br />MOTION: Hart SECOND: May <br /> <br />VOTE: AYES: Acosta, Griset, Hart, May, McGuigan, Pulido <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Young <br /> <br />10:00 P.M. - Councilmember Hart left the meeting. <br /> <br />COI~MENTS <br /> <br />90.A. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Michael O'Dorney, 119 W. Buffalo Avenue, and Rosalina Felder, 107 W. <br />Buffalo Avenue, expressed concern regarding excessive noise caused by the <br />alarm system and commercial activities at the Speaker Factory located at <br />2208 N. Main Street. Ms. Felder also complained regarding the prostitution <br />activities in the neighborhood of the motel at Main and Santa Clara. <br /> <br />John Raya, 4618 W. Hollyline, reported to the Council regarding a <br />neighborhood meeting w~ich had been held concerning prostitution activities <br />on Harbor Blvd., and requested the Council place, the subject on a future <br />Agenda for discussion of possible solutions to the problem. <br /> <br />James McGuig~n, 5642 Keel son, expressed concern that incorrect information <br />had been re)eased at the meeting attended by Mr. Raya concerning the City's <br />efforts to eliminate prostitution on Harbor Blvd. He also indicated that <br />incorrect information had been provided to ~he~ regarding the <br />City's cable television franchise, and provlded~members with a <br />candidate's form letter w~icn they might use to declare their intention not <br />to solicit or to accept campaign contributions from Group W, Comcast, or <br />aw persons affiliated with those corporations. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 280 SEPTEMBER 6, 1988 <br /> <br /> <br />
