PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Pete Maddox, 805 Fairway Drive, Orange, expressed concern regarding Santa <br />Ana's policy with respect to removal of items belonging to the homeless <br />from City property. <br /> <br />The Mayor suggested Maddox meet with the City Manager to be made aware of <br />specific aspects of the policy. <br /> <br />Jose Sanchez, resident of the City and owner of a pet rooster, requested <br />the Council modify the Santa Ana Municipal Code to permit him to continue <br />to keep his rooster at his home in a residential neighborhood. <br /> <br />George Ashley, 2530 N. Broadway, expressed concern regarding the crime <br />situation in his area, and urged the Council to consider a ban on any <br />street parking between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. as a deterrent <br />to street crime. <br /> <br />The Mayor requested Councilmember 'Acosta and the Public Safety Committee <br />study the issue further. <br /> <br />A1Gipson, Sr., resident of Southwest Santa Aha, spoke with regard to his <br />perception of the lack of initiative and involvement with narcotics that <br />he had observed on the part of homeless individuals in his residential <br />area. <br /> <br />70.A. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> <br />A~thorize the settlement of Guzman vs. City of Santa Ana <br />(Worker's Compensation) in a compromise and release in the amount <br />of $13,500.00. <br /> <br />MOTION: Hart SECOND: Pulido <br /> <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Griset, Hart, May, McGuigan, Pulido, Young <br />None <br />None FILE <br /> <br />90.C.
