Funding is monitored through a depreciation <br />schedule established with each department. Additionally, the Fleet <br />Division reviews the acquisition in accordance with the City's Hybrid <br />and Alternative Fuel Vehicle Acquisition Policy. <br /> <br />The Police Department's Investigation Bureau uses four-door passenger <br />sedans for detectives to perform routine business. Investigations ar~ <br />conducted for most felony crimes against persons. Due to age and <br />condition, one 1994 Dodge Intrepid and two 1997 Dodge Intrepids have <br />been approved for replacement in the current fiscal year. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on November 4 and 7, 2005, and <br />bids were solicited after the new Hybrid and Alternative Fuel Vehicle <br />Acquisition Policy was issued.
