In addition, AQMD requires routine annual inspections and
repairs of the underground tanks. In November 2004, the City of Santa Ana
entered into an agreement with the Pacific Systems Electric for a one year
period with an option for an additional two one year extensions. The
agreement provides for the inspection and preventive maintenance of
underground storage fuel tanks at the Police Facility, Corporation Yard,
and at Fire Stations one, four and five.

Inspections resulting from mandatory secondary testing and enhanced vapor
recovery of the underground fuel storage tanks determined that additional
repairs are needed. The recommended action will ensure that the
underground tanks remain in compliance.

FISCAL IMPACT

Funds are
Contractual
Facilities
Maintenance

available in the Police Building and Facilities Other
Services account (11-350-6291), Fire Department Building and
Other Contractual Services (11-327-6291) and Building
Building and Other Contractual Services (73-105-6291).

APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS:

~~~~
l~Franci~co G~tierrez ~
cD Executlve Dlrector
Finance & Mgmt.
