COMMENTS <br /> <br />90.A. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Michael O'Oorney, ll9 W. Buffalo, and Rosalinda Fielder, 107 W. Buffalo, <br />addressed Council, expressing concern with the continuing noise pollution <br />and vicious dog housed by the Speaker Factory, a stereo alarm business, <br />adjacent to their neighborhood. <br /> <br />The Mayor requested that staff investigate and report to the Council. <br /> <br />Miles Leach, 2025 W. Tenth St., urged the Council to place the issue of <br />ward elections before the voters, and to investigate innovative approaches <br />to drug enforcement since the current "hard-line approach" did not seem to <br />be effective. <br /> <br />90.C. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Acosta noted the City had won its fifth consecutive trophy <br />for a Rose Parade Float, and recon~nended that the City work with the Rose <br />Parade Committee to enter a float in the lg90 Parade. <br /> <br />The Mayor referred the matter to the Council Community Events Committee <br />for investigation of funding sources and deadlines for the 1990 Parade. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pulido indicated that non-City funding might be available <br />for Golden Cities Days and if these funds materialized staff should <br />consider reallocating any unused Golden City Days allocation to support <br />a 1990 Rose Parade entry by the City. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan requested staff verify that the Senior Citizen's <br />Advisory Council recommendation approved by the Council on December lg, <br />1988 had been forwarded to the League of Cities Orange County Division. <br />She also noted that Santa Ana's attendance at League meetings had declined <br />and encouraged Councilmembers to attend. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT - 8:48 P.M. <br /> <br />~}~ce c.
