MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR <br /> AND REGULAR COUNCIL MEETINGS <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />APRIL 17, 1989 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 3:18 p.m. in Room 423, City Hall, <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, by Mayor Dan Young. Councilmembers present were <br />John Acosta, Daniel E. Griset, Patricia A. McGuigan, and Miguel A. <br />Pulido. Also present were Councilmember-Elect Rick Norton, City Manager <br />David N. Ream, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper, and Clerk of the Council <br />Janice C. Guy. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ron May joined the meeting at 3:23 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Robyn Simpson, Assistant City Manager, reintroduced the Quality Customer <br />Service Program to the Councilmembers by reviewing the elements of the <br />program, the formation of departmental teams and the scientific tools <br />those teams used in their activity analyses. <br /> <br />Seven Quality Improvement Teams made presentations to the Council. <br />Presenters introduced team members, defined problem areas, reviewed <br />methodologies, and presented results or findings of their analyses to the <br />Council. <br /> <br />The seven teams and their presenters were: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />Purchasing and Recreation <br />and Community Services <br /> <br />Bob Williams <br />Purchasing Division <br />Manager <br />Chris Laugenour <br />Management Analyst I <br /> <br />2) Fleet Maintenance <br /> <br />Steve McCue <br />Equipment Mechanic II <br /> <br />3) Fire Prevention <br /> <br />Lou Sargent <br />Fire Safety Analyst <br /> <br />RECESSED - 4:17 P.M. <br /> <br />RECONVENED - 4:22 P.M. - All Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />94 <br /> <br />APRIL 17, 1989 <br /> <br /> <br />
