COUNCZL AGENDA <br /> <br />CO~MENTS <br /> <br />90.A. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Pat Mill, 617 S. Starboard, requested Council ban the sale and use of <br />fireworks in the City. <br /> <br />Marty Orth, 307 Duke Lane, requested staff to investigate and report on <br />creating a manufactured housing zone and placing all the City's mobile <br />home parks in it. <br /> <br />Luella Tucker, 2062 Rene Drive, asked why provision had not been made to <br />accommodate tonight's overflow crowd in the Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Jerry Austin, Hickory Tree Playhouse, requested Councilmembers reconsider <br />allocating Community Development Block Grant Funds for the school. <br /> <br />John Raya, Area A COP Chairperson, encouraged Councilmembers to attend the <br />Children's Track Meet event scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 1989 beginning <br />at 8:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Adolfo Lopez, 108 W. Fourth St., requested permission and assistance to <br />promote a "16th of September Parade." The Mayor requested staff to meet <br />with Mr. Lopez to develop a course of action. <br /> <br />James McGuigan, 5642 Keelson, expressed concern about the lack of Council <br />recognition of the upcoming Memorial Day holiday. <br /> <br />90.C. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan informed the community that because of the <br />installation of a county sanitation trunk sewer line, Euclid Avenue from <br />McFadden to Edinger would be closed to the southerly flow of traffic from <br />May 18 through June 2, 1989. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Acosta inquired why staff had not agendized the matter of a <br />4/10 work plan for the Police Department. The City Manager responded and <br />at the request of Council agreed to provide the name of the consultant <br />involved in this matter. <br /> <br />Councilmember May announced that on May 26, 1989, and in conjunction with <br />the lOOth Anniversary of Santa Aha High School, there would be a Memorial <br />Service for veterans who died in service from World War I through the <br />Vietnam campaign. <br /> <br />Councilmember May also indicated he had procured information on 4/10 work <br />plans implemented in the cities of Irvine, Sacramento and San Francisco, <br />and would make the information available to staff. <br /> <br />Councilmember Griset recognized the fine article on Santa Aha <br />neighborhoods in the Sunday edition of the Register. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />142 MAY 15, 1989 <br /> <br /> <br />
