<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />CONSULTANT shall provide music instruction for children's music classes in Santa Ana <br />Empowerment Zone schools. <br /> <br />· CONSULTANT will direct music instruction for children in grades I through 8. Each <br />class shall provide three (3) hours of music instruction. <br />· CONSULTANT will prepare a lesson plan in advance for each class and have a strong <br />knowledge of the music curriculum prior to each class. <br />· CONSULTANT will work with the Arts Administrator to choose a variety of music <br />techniques which will be presented to the classes to achieve a highly competent music <br />performance by the students. <br />· CONSULTANT will direct performances each quarter before an audience of students, <br />parents and the community. <br /> <br />COMPENSATION <br /> <br />The hourly rate of compensation shall be $30.00 per hour. <br /> <br />Consultant shall be entitled to reimbursement of contract related expenses, for music, <br />instructional materials and supplies not available from City's art supplier, up to $2,000.00. <br /> <br />Consultant shall submit a detailed invoice for all hours worked and contract related expenses. <br /> <br />Total compensation hereunder, for all hours worked and contract-related expenses shall not <br />exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00). <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />
