Councilmember Griset suggested that the Council might want to shift its <br />focus from licensing procedures to other avenues of enforcement such as <br />restriction of the quantities of alcohol distributed, and to advocate for <br />changes in State legislation relative to ABC licensing. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Acosta requested the Clerk provide him with the proposed <br />schedule for Charter Review activities. <br /> <br />RECESSED TO CLOSED SESSION - ROOM 147 - 6:08 P.M. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council announced the City Council was recessing to <br />Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to confer <br />with the City Attorney regarding pending litigation which had been <br />initiated fomally, and to which the City was a party, to wit: <br /> <br />Verduzco vs. City of Santa Aha <br />Sevilla vs. City of Santa Ana <br />Lujan vs. City of Santa Ana (Worker's Compensation) <br /> <br />and pursuant to Government Code Section 54957 to consider personnel <br />matters. <br /> <br />RECONVENED - COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 7:15 P.M. - All Councilmembers present <br />except Councilmembers Griset, May and Mayor Young. <br /> <br />70.A. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> <br />Authorize settlements as follows: <br /> <br />Lujan vs. City of Santa Aha (Worker's Compensation), compromise <br />and release in the amount of $17,000.00. <br /> <br />Ann T.
