CITY and SUPERINTENDENT entered into an agreement dated August 1, 1997, <br /> <br />("AGREEMENT") which allowed SUPERINTENDENT access to inmates in order <br /> <br />to administer GED testing. <br /> <br />2. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the AGREEMENT, CITY and <br /> <br />SUPERINTENDENT wish to renew the AGREEMENT for an additional one (1) <br /> <br />year period, in conformance with paragraph 1.0 (Term) of the AGREEMENT. <br /> <br />3. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the AGREEMENT, CITY and <br /> <br />SUPERINTENDENT wish to adjust the fees for the GED testing to each <br /> <br />inmate to Fifty-one dollars ($51.00), in conformance with paragraph <br /> <br />2.0(Duties and Responsibilities). <br /> <br />WHEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective covenants and <br /> <br />promises contained in the AGREEMENT, and subject to all of the terms and <br /> <br />conditions of the AGREEMENT, except those amended in the THIRD AMENDMENT TO <br /> <br />AGREEMENT, CITY and SUPERINTENDENT hereby agree to amend paragraph 1 of the <br /> <br />AGREEMENT and extend the AGREEMENT for one (1) additional year (August 1, <br /> <br />2000 to July 31, 2001) and also increase the fees identified in paragraph 2.0 <br /> <br />(Duties and Responsibilities) to Fifty-one dollars ($51.00) per test. <br /> <br />Paragraph 1, as amended shall read, as follows: <br /> <br />1.0 Term <br /> <br />This MOU shall be effective for a period of one (1) year commencing <br />
