NO. 06-012) <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />-----' <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to Cemrock Landscapes, Inc. for the purchase of three <br />concrete interactive play structures in the amount of $14,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />In order to enhance the visitor experience at the Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice <br />Park, two large-scale, crawl-through bird egg shells and one turtle shell <br />will be installed in the children's play area. The interactive play <br />structures will provide an educational component to the play area by <br />serving as visual and interactive aids for the zoo education program. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on January 23 and 25, 2006, and <br />bids were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is <br />as follows: <br /> <br />13 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />2 Bids received <br /> <br />Bids were received, opened on February 14, 2006, and evaluated.
