The division trims an average of <br />13,000 trees and removes 150 trees annually. Additionally, the division has <br />established a practice of spraying approximately 9,000 trees annually to <br />control aphid infestation. Due to age and condition, a 1989 mist sprayer <br />has been approved for replacement in the current fiscal year. <br /> <br />The Public Works Agency contacted several major mist sprayer suppliers and <br />confirmed this type is no longer produced by American manufacturers. Unico <br />Spray Products Corporation is the only remaining manufacturer of sprayers <br />that meet the specifications established by the Public Works Agency.
