U/)tk <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Amend the contract with Fleet Services, Inc. to increase the aggregate <br />limit by $10,000 for heavy duty truck repair and parts for a two-year <br />period in an annual amount not to exceed $20,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Fleet Maintenance Division lS responsible for the maintenance and <br />repair of the City's 800 vehicles, including street sweepers, fire trucks <br />and large trucks. Heavy duty truck parts are ordered as needed and services <br />that cannot be completed at the Corporate Yard are performed off-site. <br /> <br />The City establishes an annual blanket order list consisting of vendors <br />that provide supplies and services that are required by agencies on a <br />consistent basis. Fleet Services, Inc. has been a provider of hydraulic <br />hoses, fittings, brakes parts and service on heavy duty vehicles such as <br />fire trucks. Fleet Services, Inc. offers reliable and prompt service, <br />competitive pricing, and has consistently been the lowest responsive bidder <br />on heavy duty truck parts and service. As such, staff recommends Council <br />approval of an amendment to the contract. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Funds are available in the Equipment Maintenance Garage Operation Other <br />Contractual Services and Operating Materials & Supplies accounts (account <br />nos. 75-111-6291 and 75-111-6391) <br /> <br />.;!
