EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Consultant shall provide music and art classes, as follows: <br />• `Beginning Drawing" will teach students, ages 6-10, the basics of drawing, playing with <br />line, shape, color, form space and value. Students will work with charcoal, pastels, pen <br />and ink. <br />• In "Multicultural Arts and Craft" youth, ages 10-16, will explore the art of multicultural <br />mask making and paper mache, mono -print making and fish printing. <br />• "Community Choir for Kids" will teach children, ages 5-9, to sing songs from around the <br />world using basic music theory, rhythmic notation, unison and part singing, developing <br />principles of solo and choral vocal production. There will be a performance opportunity <br />at the end of each session. <br />• "Singing Lessons for Special Kids" will teach children, ages 5-12, breath control, diction <br />and how to use a voice as a vehicle for self-expression. The class is taught by a music <br />therapist and designed to enhance language skills f students with speech problems. <br />• "Voice Lessons for Youth" provides group instruction for children ages 10 and up, <br />focusing on vocal technique and production, as well as diction, breath control, and correct <br />posture for singing. Monthly community concerts are planned. <br />• "Electric Guitar for Teens" ages 13-17, will teach the basics of playing the electric guitar, <br />reading chords, strumming and picking patterns and how to play rock music. There will <br />be a performance opportunity at the end of each session. The class fee includes <br />instruments to borrow for use during class and for practice at the OCCT Arts Center in <br />the Artist's Village. <br />• "Beginning Flute" will cover hand placement, proper mouth placement, reading music <br />and playing simple popular and classical tunes. Classes will be held for 7-9, 10-12 and <br />13 and up. The class fee includes instruments to borrow for use during class and for <br />practice at the OCCT Arts Center. <br />• Consultant shall provide materials and supplies necessary to conduct the classes <br />• The classes will be held at a date and time agreed between City and Consultant. <br />FEES <br />Each participant shall pay a $25.00 per class registration fee per monthly session. Art <br />classes will have an additional $10 materials fee per monthly session. <br />No refunds will be made to participants after the first week of class unless the class is <br />cancelled by the City. <br />• City shall collect registration fees from each participant. Consultant shall refer interested <br />students to City for registration. <br />
