<br />'. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />1. CITY's Responsibilities: <br />The CITY shall provide the following assistance to CONSULTANT: <br />a. Identify a contact person who shall be responsible for scheduling and <br />coordinating the services to be provided by CONSULTANT. The subject matter, <br />the number of hours and the scheduling of hours shall be in the sole discretion of <br />the CITY. <br />b. Schedule and record CONSULTANT's time worked during meetings, instruction <br />and counseling sessions. <br />c. Provide an adequate facility that will allow CONSULTANT to perform the <br />services required under this agreement in an efficient and timely manner. <br />d. Provide prompt notice to the CONSULTANT whenever the CITY observes or <br />otherwise becomes aware of any defect in the services provided under the terms <br />of the agreement. <br /> <br />2. CONSULTANT's Responsibilities: <br />CONSULTANT shall provide the following services to CITY: <br />a. Coordinate with CITY staff to facilitate delivery of program material. <br />b. Collect specific diagnostic and statistical information regarding inmates in <br />attendance and program material. <br />c. Participate in meetings with CITY staff, provision of progress reports and <br />recommendations for procedural improvements in program management. <br />d. Monitor and maintain instructional supplies and inmate information accumulated <br />for research purposes. Assist instructional and counseling staff in resolving data <br />gathering problems. <br />e. Provide monthly statistical reports on attendance, referrals, pre and post tests, <br />client biography, type of charges and stress levels. <br />f. Coordinate lunch schedules for weekend instructional, counseling and translation <br />staff. <br />g. Schedule staff for instructional, counseling and translation assignments. <br />h. Collect work invoices from counseling and translation staff. Review invoices for <br />accuracy and submit invoices to the Jail Programs Supervisor. <br />1. Monitor funds allotted to the SOS program. <br />J. Assign collection of internal research data to research assistant. <br />k. Assist instructional, counseling and translation staff with ordering of supplies and <br />instructional materials, evaluations and registrations. <br />1. Use inmate evaluations to intiate curriculum revision and change with team <br />members. <br />m. Ensure that all program expectations are met, all paperwork is completed each <br />weekend all modules of instruction are delivered and interested inmates receive <br />, <br />counseling. <br />n. Maintain contact and coordinate transfer of information with Orange County's <br />The Great Escape program and other referral agencies. <br /> <br />8 <br />
