Freeman, informed the Council that he planned to <br />relocate his business from its present West First Street location, but had <br />had difficulty in finding a replacement tenant for the property due to <br />staff's determination that a prospective occupant did not meet Code <br />requirements. He requested clarification of the term "swap meet" as <br />defined in the Santa Ana Municipal Code. The Mayor requested the <br />Assistant City Attorney provide VanZant with such an interpretation. <br /> <br />Jim McGuigan, 5642 Keelson, expressed concern that the Council had made <br />its decision to broadcast the Planning and Redevelopment Commission <br />meetings based on inaccurate information. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CO~IENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Pulido expressed his appreciation to staff members for their <br />efforts with regard to the 1990 Census. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan reported on her participation in an earthquake <br />preparedness program and urged the listening audience to attend a program <br />sponsored by the Santa Ana Fire Department, "Beat the Quake," to be held <br />on April 22, 1990 between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Birch Park. <br /> <br />In response to Mayor Pro Tem Acosta's question regarding when the <br />narcotics detection dog authorized to be purchased last June would be <br />obtained, the City Manager indicated he would prepare a report for the <br />Council. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 103 APRIL 2, 1990 <br /> <br /> <br />
