MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />APRIL 16, 1990 <br /> <br />At 3:02 p.m., Fire Chief Allen "Bud" Carter welcomed all present to the <br />dedication ceremonies of the City's newly constructed fi re facility, Fire <br />Station 9, located at 1320 E. Warner Avenue. <br /> <br />The following were present: Mayor Dan Young, Mayor Pro Tem John Acosta, <br />and Councilmembers Patricia A. McGuigan, Rick Norton and Miguel A. <br />Pulido. Also present were City Manager David N. Ream, City Attorney <br />Edward J. Cooper and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy, as well as many <br />members of the City's citizen advisory boards and commissions, and <br />numerous staff and guests including retired Fire Chief Gene Judd and Laura <br />Garthe representing retired Fire Chief John Garthe. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Carter indicated the facility would be officially dedicated by <br />the raising of the American flag over the facility, and recognized members <br />of the Department whose contributions to the project had been outstanding. <br /> <br />Mayor Young complimented those members of the Fi re Department making <br />special contributions, and expressed his thanks on behalf of the City <br />Council to all involved who had assisted in bringing the project to <br />fruition. <br /> <br />At 3:10 p.m., the ceremonies concluded and guests toured the facility in <br />small groups. <br /> <br />~T~fce C.
