<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />ACMS shall perform school crossing guard services for the City, as follows: <br /> <br />I. ACMS will monitor, supervise and assure the safety of all school children that utilize <br />intersections and crosswalks while moving to and from school. <br /> <br />2. ACMS shall perform all work to the highest professional standard and in a manner <br />deemed reasonably satisfactory to the Chief of Police or his designee. <br /> <br />3. ACMS will provide an estimated 63,646 hours per year of crossing guard services by <br />qualified adult crossing guards during pre-determined time periods at locations specified <br />by City, as shown in "Attachment I ", attached hereto. ACMS shall staff the crossing <br />guard positions when the schools modify their schedules to accommodate the academic <br />needs of students. <br /> <br />4. New locations may be added at City's request and ACMS will increase service hours <br />accordingly. In addition, City may remove crossing guard locations with a 24-hour <br />notice. <br /> <br />5. ACMS shall provide all administrative duties associated with the Adult Crossing Guard <br />Program. <br /> <br />6. ACMS shall provide supervision of all employees associated with the Adult Crossing <br />Guard Program; including the recruitment, hiring, discipline and termination of <br />employees. <br /> <br />7. ACMS shall provide all facilities, vehicles and other associated equipment related to <br />conducting the Adult Crossing Guard Program. Required equipment will include safety- <br />reflectorized vests, stop signs, whistles, rain gear and photo-identification badges. <br /> <br />8. ACMS shall provide all employees with equipment that complies with all applicable laws <br />and established safety standards. <br /> <br />9. ACMS shall arrange for and provide all substitute employees, ensuring that all designated <br />locations are staffed during the required time periods. ACMS shall contact the Santa Ana <br />Police Department immediately if a position cannot be filled by ACMS. The Santa Ana <br />Police Department will staff that position and bill ACMS for the period of time spent <br />covering that post in accordance with the Miscellaneous Fee Schedule. <br /> <br />10. ACMS shall be responsible to coordinate with the affected schools and school districts to <br />ensure coverage is provided at designated locations when school schedules are modified <br />and/or changed for any reason that requires children to arrive or depart at t time that is <br />different than the norm. <br /> <br />8 <br />
