MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />JUNE l, 1990 <br /> <br />The meeting was convened at 10:18 a.m. by Mayor Dan Young in the lobby of <br />the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers present were <br />Patricia A. McGuigan, and Miguel A. Pulido. No other Councilmembers were <br />in attendance. City Manager David N. Ream and Clerk of the Council Janice <br />C. Guy were present. <br /> <br />Also present were Supervisor Roger Stanton, Santa Ana Unified School <br />District Board Member Rob Richardson, representatives of the Greater Santa <br />Ana Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, members of <br />the City's Executive Management Team, and the press. <br /> <br />Since a quorum of the City Council was not present no actions were taken. <br />However, each of the elected officials present expressed their opposition <br />to Measure A, an initiative on the June § Ballot which would require that <br />all jails constructed in the future be sited within the boundaries of the <br />City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Clerk of the Council <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 159 JUNE l, 1990 <br /> <br /> <br />
