EVENING SESSION <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />75.A. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FY 90-91 <br /> <br />Consideration of the use of $3,636,000.00 in Community Development Block <br />Grant funds for the purpose of maintaining and upgrading the City's <br />affordable housing stock through rehabilitation loans, grants and rebates; <br />improving low and moderate income neighborhoods through public <br />improvements and public facilities; providing social services which <br />benefit low and moderate income persons; assisting the preservation of <br />historic properties; and improving the City's economic base through <br />economic development and commercial rehabilitation loan programs. <br /> <br />Legal Notice published in the Register on April 9, 1990. <br /> <br />The Mayor closed the public hearing on April 16, 1990 and the matter was <br />continued on May 7, 1990, and May 21, 1990. <br /> <br />MOTION: l) Approve the proposed FY 90-91 Community Development Block <br /> (CDGB) Program and Budget as submitted. FILE 610.05 <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Authorize the City Manager to submit the approved program to <br />the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) <br />for the City's 1990-91 allocation of CDBG funds and to <br />execute the Grant Agreement with HUD. A-90-048 <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Authorize the City Attorney to prepare and the City Manager <br />to execute agreements with non-profit agencies awarded funds <br />as part of the approved program.
