CO~4ENTS <br /> <br />90.C. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Pulido urged the listening audience to vote in the June 5, <br />1990 Election. He also reported on various improvements that were being <br />made in the Minnie Standard Area as a result of City efforts. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pulido requested the Council consider establishing a Tree <br />Advisory Board, and a Study Session be held with respect to trees. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan reported she had experienced problems with cable <br />television reception the previous weekend, and noted generally poor <br />reception for the west side of the City. She also con~nended the Police <br />and Fire Departments on the Vehicle Show held on June 2, 1990. <br /> <br />Councilmember May commended the Wilshire Square Neighborhood on its home <br />tour of the previous weekend. <br /> <br />Councilmember Griset reiterated his intention to propose the matter of <br />Closed Session confidentiality at the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Acosta noted that he and Councilmember Pulido had met with <br />Cabrillo Park residents the previous weekend, and reported that community <br />was anxious to work with City staff regarding removal of trees in the <br />area. Acosta also requested that the City Manager's staff contact him <br />regarding letters he had received relative to possible Civil Service <br />violations. <br /> <br />Mayor Young reported that over 900 people had toured the Wilshire Square <br />Neighborhood which in his view reflected positively on the City. He also <br />urged the listening audience to vote "NO" on Measure A, the initiative <br />which would force all future jails to be located in Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Councilmember Norton indicated a neighborhood clean-up would occur in the <br />Sandpointe area June 9, 1990.
