<br />e <br /> <br />b) SC Gas Buildinq <br /> <br />Jay Trevino reports that Chapman College is primarily interested in the <br />YMCA Building. Staff has met with Otis College of Art & Design and <br />they are very interested in having a satellite campus in Downtown <br />Santa Ana. <br /> <br />c) Phase III Olson Lofts Status <br /> <br />A new architect was hired. Working drawings are to be submitted in <br />March. <br /> <br />d) Otis Buildinq Update <br /> <br />Owner is refusing to paint the building. Staff continues to pursue the <br />owner for compliance with the original agreement that she would paint <br />the building if we provided the letter from OCT A that the benches <br />would be moved after the building is painted. <br /> <br />e) Construction of Archwav Siqn on South Main Street <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Public Works Agency will make a recommendation to Council at its <br />February 21 meeting to award a contract to the design consultant for <br />the sign. Construction is scheduled to begin in August. The <br />Committee would like to work with the consultant on what the sign <br />would say. <br /> <br />f) Nexus Entry Siqn Update <br /> <br />Nexus has completed a cost estimate of $500,000 for the two signs. <br />Discussion continues on whether the City should allow Nexus to <br />complete only one sign, so that remaining funds can be used on public <br />art for the project. <br /> <br />g) Loft Survey Update <br /> <br />Survey results were passed out to the Committee and discussed. <br /> <br />h) The Depot Marketinq Plan Update <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Staff distributed binders and discussed with the Committee the plan to <br />introduce marketing opportunities at The Depot. Staff will begin <br />banner installation in March, with other opportunities being reviewed <br />for the 06/07 budget. <br /> <br />138-19 <br />
