<br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE ON <br />MAIN STREET DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />November 3, 2005 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting convened at 5:40 p.m. in City Hall, Room 831, 20 Civic Center Plaza, <br />Santa Ana, California. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br />City Council Committee members present: Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Bist, Councilmember <br />Jose Solorio, and Councilmember Claudia Alvarez (5:55 p.m.) <br /> <br />Staff members present: Community Development Agency Executive Director Patricia <br />C. Whitaker, Planning and Building Agency Executive Director Jay Trevino, Chief <br />Assistant City Attorney Benjamin Kaufman, Community Preservation Inspector Alvaro <br />Nunez, Redevelopment Assistant, Danell Mercado, Senior Planner Sergio Klotz, <br />Engineering Services Manager/City Engineer George Alvarez, and Assistant Planner <br />( Lucy Linnaus <br /> <br />Community members present: None <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - September 1, 2005 <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />The minutes were approved 2:0 (Absent: Alvarez) <br /> <br />2. PROPOSED CODE ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS <br /> <br />A Notice of Violation (NV) was issued to the Casa de Ceramica property at 2541 <br />South Main regarding the banners and unpermitted signs. There has been no <br />compliance and the next step is sending the property owner/business owner to a <br />Hearing. If there is no compliance after the Hearing, the NV may eventually lead <br />to a criminal case. <br /> <br />1417 South Main will be monitored. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />1117 South Main - A Notice of Violation will be issued regarding signs. <br /> <br />138-6 <br />
