<br />Recycling and Yard Waste Diversion; <br /> <br />( e) the establishment and maintenance of a telephone hotline to receive calls from the public <br />and provide information concerning integrated waste management; <br /> <br />(f) cooperation in the production of an integrated waste management video for use by the CITY; <br /> <br />and, <br /> <br />(g) development and management of grants pursuant to the regulations contained in the <br />CIWMA and/or adopted by the California Integrated Waste Management Board including the <br />Department of Conservation and other governmental agencies that offer grants related to collection and <br />recycling services provided under the Agreement In fiscal year 05-06 CONTRACTOR will receive: <br />$5500 per month for the collection of used oil containers and filters. This includes all <br />manpower, vehicle, fuel, accounting and administrative costs associated with the collection program. <br />$75.00 per hour for grant administrator's time to develop and administer the grant programs. <br /> <br />This Section may be reasonably modified from time to time as deemed necessary and <br />appropriate by the Executive Director, including increased grant compensation paid to Contractor upon <br />a writing executed by the Executive Director. The CONTRACTOR shall be required to work with the <br />Executive Director in the preparation and production of the services listed and to proceed in the <br />rendering of such services as the CITY dictates. Any services required hereunder shall require the <br />Executor Director's approval prior to the execution thereof. <br /> <br />19. STANDARDS FOR COLLECTION. EQUIPMENT AND NOISE: <br /> <br />(a) Equipment and vehicles used by CONTRACTOR, whether owned by or licensed to <br />CONTRACTOR, for the collection and hauling of Solid Waste shall be used so as to assure, in the <br />reasonable opinion of the Executive Director, that adequate standards of collection will be maintained. <br />All loads in CONTRACTOR's vehicles shall be kept completely covered at all times except when <br />material is actually being loaded or unloaded or where the vehicles are on route in the process of <br />collection. The collection equipment must be designed and operated in such a manner as to prevent <br />Solid Waste from escaping the vehicle. Any spillage of materials which occurs during the collection <br />process shall be immediately cleaned up by the CONTRACTOR at its expense. Further, all vehicles <br />used by the CONTRACTOR pursuant to this Agreement which are not owned by the CITY shall be <br />registered by CONTRACTOR with the Department of Motor Vehicles of the State of California. The <br />CONTRACTOR's vehicles and equipment shall be subject to inspection by the CITY. <br /> <br />(b) It is the declared interest of the CITY that the CONTRACTOR be able to provide a variety <br />of sizes of bin and roll-off containers to meet the capacity requirements of commercial and residential <br />bin and roll-off container users. No material shall be permitted to leak, fall or be spilled on CITY <br />streets, alleys or highways. Any such leakage or spills occurring shall be immediately corrected and the <br />area cleaned at the CONTRACTOR's expense. The equipment used must be maintained in good <br />mechanical condition and must employ adequate safety conditions for the operating personnel. <br /> <br />(c) All collections shall be made as quietly as possible and no unnecessarily noisy trucks or <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />25A-25 <br />
