NS- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 2-200 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO THE <br />DEPICTION ON THE CITY SEAL. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. Section 2-200 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code establishes a City Seal to <br />be used by the Clerk of the Council in authenticating certain documents of <br />the City. <br /> <br />B. Section 2-210 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code establishes a City <br />Emblem purpose of symbolically representing the authority of the City of <br />Santa Ana. <br /> <br />C. Section 2-200 does not call for the depiction on the City Seal to be the City <br />Emblem. <br /> <br />D. Incorporation of the City Emblem into the City Seal will clarify the City's <br />symbolic representations. <br /> <br />Section 2. Section 2-200 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />such that it reads as follows (new language in bold, deleted language in strikeout for <br />tracking purposes only): <br /> <br />Sec. 2-200. City seal--Designation. <br /> <br />The city seal is the impression made by that certain instrument retained and used <br />by the clerk of the council for the purpose of attesting documents as acts of the city <br />council. The general design and the details of the impression made by the city seal, <br />shall correspond to the City Emblem as established in Section 2-210 of the Santa <br />Ana Municipal Code from time to time. subst:mtiolly with the following representation <br />thereof:* <br /> <br />Section 3.
