It was suggested that staff research the "hanging type" signs <br />from the San Diego area, signs with a more historic feel and also ones having <br />some lighting. Public Works staff will provide another cost estimate at a <br />future meeting. <br />f) Nexus Entry Sign Update <br />George Alvarez reported that a meeting was held regarding the art concept <br />design. It was decided that the artist will complete the rendition and Nexus <br />will build and install the art. The piece will include uplighting, the city seal and <br />base. A discussion about the city seal being part of the piece ensued. The <br />Committee will be shown the rendition at the next meeting. <br />g) Facade Rebate Program <br />Danell Mercado provided a chart with rebate information. The chart included <br />a list of companies and improvements done to date; a list of a rebate in <br />process; and a list of rebate inquiries. <br />h) SC Edison Substation at Second and Sycamore <br />Contact was made with SC Edison.
