<br />--,.,; <br /> <br />., <br /> <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />II <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br /> <br />Project Agreement <br />General Terms <br /> <br />DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />The term "Interior" as used hereiu shall mean the agency of the federal governmeut which <br />is acting as the delegate of the United States Secretary of the Interior to administer grant programs <br />authorized hy the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 as amended. <br /> <br />The term "State" as used herein shall mean the California Office of Historic Preservation 0 <br />the State of California. <br /> <br />The term "Participant" as used herein shall mean the recipient of suhgrauted (q.v.) federal <br />funds named as Participant on the cover page of this agreement. <br /> <br />The term "Suhgrant" as used herein shall mean the award of federal funds, already <br />granted to the State, to the agency, institution, organizatiou, other legal entity, or individnal by the <br />State. <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />The term "Project" as nsed herein shall mean the work described in the "Project Scope"of <br />this agreement performed dnring the time period set forth as the "Project Period" on the cover <br />page of this agreement. <br /> <br />J~ <br />-"- <br /> <br />23 <br />24 <br /> <br />The term "Secretary of the Interior's Standards" as used herein shall mean the "Secretary <br />of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation", including <br />standards for planning, identification, evalnation, registration, historical documentation, <br />architectural and engineering documentation, archaeological documentation, historic preservation <br />projects, and professional qualifications, as published in the Federal Register, September 29, 1983 <br />(Vol. 48, No. 190), pp. 44716 et seq. <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br />27 <br /> <br />28 <br /> <br />29 <br />30 <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br />'J <br />J~ <br /> <br />-1- <br />
