<br />'-' <br /> <br />....,; <br /> <br />ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER <br />(ASSISTANT PLANNER) <br /> <br />THE FOLLOWING ARE THE TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN <br />ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER UNDER CONTRACT TO A PUBLIC AGENCY. <br /> <br />Duties are performed with little to moderate instruction and direction from higher level <br />supervisors: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Review and evaluate less complex development applications submitted to the City <br />for processing. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Assist applicants with the interpretation of ordinances and policies of the City. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Assist the public at the public counter, via phone, and electronic means to understand <br />City requirements. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Coordinate the review of applications with other responsible City departments and <br />divisions. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Prepare staff reports. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Make recommendations to supervisory staffregarding the disposition of <br />development applications, research projects, and other planning matters as assigned. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Prepare initial studies under CEQA. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Conduct research of planning related issues. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Be able to understand and evaluate basic construction drawings. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Make presentations before the Planning Commission, City Council and other boards <br />and commissions. <br /> <br />t::'1" ~':!"'H'f <br />JJ'('~ ~',,}' 1 . <br /> <br />~ <br />
