MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />DECEMBER 10, lggo <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 4:25 p.m. in Room 147, Council Chambers, <br />22 Civic Center Plaza, by Mayor Dan Young. Councilmembers present were <br />John Acosta, Daniel E. Griset, Patricia A. McGuigan, Rick Norton, Miguel A. <br />Pulido, and Robert L. Richardson. Also present were City Manager David N. <br />Ream, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. <br /> <br />COUNCIL STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />LANDSCAPING REQUIREMENTS FOR PARKING STRUCTURES <br /> <br />Robyn Uptegraff, Executive Director, Planning and Building Agency, <br />presented proposed revisions relating to the sections of Resolution 90-102 <br />which had been deleted from the resolution at the Council meeting of <br />November 19, 19gO. She indicated staff had reviewed and modified those <br />sections and would be presenting the revisions in final form for approval <br />at a future Council meeting. <br /> <br />Marvin Ellenbecker, Landscape Development Associate, showed a slide <br />presentation depicting alternative design and development standards for <br />parking structures, including treatments of exterior and interior <br />architecture, circulation, setbacks and landscaping. <br /> <br />On a separate issue, Councilmember Acosta requested staff review the City's <br />requirements relative to soil compaction for parking sites. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR REVIEW <br /> <br />Councilmembers discussed concerns with respect to Consent Calendar items. <br /> <br />RECESSED - 4:48 P.M. <br /> <br />RECONVENED - COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 4:56 P.M. - All Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />At Councilmember Griset's request, and with the City Attorney's assent, the <br />nomination of Tom Lutz as an at-large representative to the Uniform Code <br />Appeals Board was added to the Consent Calendar. {See Minutes page 355.) <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 351 DECEMBER 10, 1990 <br /> <br /> <br />
